Flint Odyssey House congratulates Trisha Pierce!
Trisha Pierce began her Odyssey Journey in 2018. It didn't take long for her to realize she wanted to help others on their recovery journey.
In September, 2019 she took her CCAR training and received her certification as a Peer Recovery Coach. On November 13th, she completed the Certified Peer Recovery Coach training. We congratulate you Trisha & are excited about your future in recovery!
Have you seen our billboards?
Our PPW program received a grant for billboards across the community. Mr Brown, women from housing, & the media team designed the billboard and set up a pregnancy photoshoot with Chrelle Loonsfoot & one of her son’s. We wanted to spotlight women in recovery with their children and the ability to see that there is joy in recovery. What do you think of our billboards?
This year has presented a multitude of challenges, but one thing remains the same and that is we do recover. We thank you for your time, your patience, and your dedication to recovery and the community this year.
Many of you in our Odyssey Family consider this time of year the start of their recovery journey. Do you want to inspire others this holiday season? Share your recovery story with us & be featured on our Odyssey House media. Share your clean date and tell us about your recovery journey. Your story can bring hope to many.
Zoom Crafting with FOH Prevention Team
Our Prevention Team has a monthly family crafting event and despite Covid-19 is thriving. Since June they’ve taken to Zoom to devote a time slot to families who register. From decorating a stepping stone to a letter, a back to school craft and carving a funkin this October, we are helping strengthen family bonds and start important family conversations about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Yes! You Can Have it All in Recovery
We’ve got a few billboards going up soon and needed a powerful image for recovery that shows that pregnant and parenting women are a priority for treatment. Chrelle and one of her sons were happy to be our models for the billboard. Her youngest son insisted they had to “match” for the photo shoot. Aren’t they adorable?
Madness to Miracles
This year’s Madness to Miracles was celebrated over the course of 3 days in order to safely gather while honoring our rising stars in recovery.
Saginaw Odyssey House hosted Flint and Port Huron on September 28th, 29th, and 30th to hear the journey from madness to miracles. Following the awards presentation, the Odyssey Family enjoyed lunch from Famous Dave’s.
Flint Odyssey House Celebrates Overdose Awareness
Residential & Outpatient clients celebrated Overdose Awareness with groups talking about grief, the dangers of one last hit, & honoring those we have lost. The celebration closed with a balloon release. The overcast skies matched the somber mood yet there was still hope in the air.
