Enhanced Women's Speciality Services
Specialty trained and supervised Parent advocates provide home visitation and community based intervention for up to 3 years. Advocates assist clients in connect mothers with community based services, provide long-term emotional support, promote effective use of contraceptive methods and choosing a family planning method.

Photo Voice
The purpose of this project is to increase the public’s awareness of Flint resident’s perception of their community. This project uses a method called PhotoVoice to capture images the participant’s community to advocate for change. The results of this PhotoVoice project will be displayed digitally on the Flint Odyssey House website, social media accounts and in at least one public forum to allow Flint residents an opportunity to come together with an increased awareness of the youth’s perceptions of their community and the challenges they face.

Guiding Good Choices
Guiding Good Choices is an interactive, multimedia curriculum that uses a variety of strategies to teach parents new skills. The GGC video shows families modeling the skills. The curriculum also uses role-play, guided practice, small- and large-group discussion, and home practice activities.Parents leave the workshops feeling more confident in their ability to support their children as they enter the often turbulent teen years.

Freedom School
Freedom School is a 7 session 2 hour intervention adapted from the traditional
Afrikan and African-American centric model to encompass all children living within a neighborhood and/or housing development.

Prime for Life
Prime For Life is an evidence-based motivational prevention, intervention and pre-treatment program specifically designed for people who might be making high-risk choices. This includes but is not limited to impaired driving offenders, college students, and young people charged with alcohol and/or drug offenses. It is designed to change drinking and drug use behaviors by changing beliefs, attitudes, risk perceptions, motivations, and the knowledge of how to reduce their risk of alcohol and drug related problems throughout their lives. Because Prime For Life® includes both prevention and intervention content, it is also designed in a way that serves universal, selective, and indicated audiences with program delivery options for each.
